Our professional team will manually sort the contents of the bin and weigh each material to provide the most accurate value.
Currently this is done via BACS.
Material takes 24-72 hours to return to our HQ, and typically payment takes place within 24 hours of processing taking place.

Ciaran has been working as a professional plumber for several years. He finds himself working on a variety of jobs, from maintenance and repair work all the way through to full, brand new installations. Inevitably, the waste material generated from this work can be considerable so Ciaran has previously had to continually explore different options when it came to both storing and disposing of it. He explains, “I used to save it all up, which became problematic after only a few weeks as it would be kept in the van, in the garden, in the garage and anywhere else I could find.
"Besides being messy, it also became unsafe and I didn’t want to continue storing scrap metal like this anymore.”
While attending a local business networking event, Ciaran met a fellow trade professional who recommended Greencable to him based on the frustrations he expressed. “At first I thought they just offered a handy bin to store it in, which strongly appealed to me. But then I discovered that they not only collect it and recycle the materials, but pay money for it too!”, he says. This proved additionally appealing because the materials he was previously collecting were being taken to his local scrap merchants - when time allowed.
Immediately after the event, Ciaran applied for a Greencable bin and only a few days later received it at his home. He soon filled it with some stored copper pipework and braziery he’d accumulated over the previous months and requested a collection. “I don’t think they could believe how quickly I filled it, but they turned up only a few days later to sort through the contents, weigh each type and empty it into their van.”
